Original paintings by Johanna Freudenberg

I was born in New York, and initially came to London as part of my university course, to study sculpture at St. Martin’s School of Art.

I have since lived and worked in Hampstead and then in Kilburn, as a painter, garden designer and art teacher.

I have exhibited at the Tricycle Theatre Gallery, the Not Gallery, the Dental Surgery in the Corn Exchange, the Queen Street Gallery in Emsworth, Hampshire, and the Volksbank in Weinheim, in Germany. This German exhibition included works of mine, my eldest sister Catherine Traykovski, and our father Albrecht Freudenberg, who was born in Weinheim in 1913, and died in 1981. In the summer of 2015, I exhibited the series entitled Visions and Vistas: Cornish Saints in the Landscape, at Truro Cathedral. In the summer of 2016, the Cornish Saints were shown again in July at All Saints Church, Marazion, Cornwall, where a collage workshop was held. I also regularly exhibit as part of the Queen's Park Open Gardens and Studios scheme, which took place again this year on the afternoon of June 19th.
